Here on DA we have visual artists (I include photography, Photomanipulation and craftwork in that category) and Writers both. I know that visual art is so much more accessible than written work, especially in the 'snapshot moment', information saturated world we live in today. But as a writer myself, I do feel that literature is... if not undervalued, then certainly overlooked by many, in favour of visual art which can be seen and appreciated in a single glance (though obviously deserves more than that).
