47 (who?)
You're gone now and away,
sleeping silently somewhere else
never speaking and always silent.

If we had talked more,
would you still be here
lying next to me in bed?

To bring you back,
I would walk five thousand miles
just like in that song that you love.

But you'll never hear music again
and we'll all be here still
just moving here through life.

And no one gets to see your smile
while your families mourns their loss
and all we have are memories.

To bring you back
I would happily take your place
in the land of the never living.

Because you're being missed,
and no one knows,
what they're going to do without you.

Sleeping silent mourning
the sun never seen again
resting eternally.
My friend, Jessie Winterholler died. I miss her.

I cied while reading this, and I'm sorry about your friend. It made me think about my cousin and one of my really good friends, I wished I could've said something to change their fate.....

You're welcome, I thought a lot when I read it. It was an amazing poem, it had much emotion behind it.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then an emotion is worth a million, but all the words in the world don't quite cut it when writing about loss that's close to the heart, do they.
Well done. I love your work.
