She writes with green ink
eternal scrawls upon the page.
She wrote with green ink,
because it was the color of his eyes,
and the pond in the park,
and the seats on the bus,
and the grass outside,
and rose stems.
She wrote with green ink
even when her boss yelled
and the teacher screamed
and nothing worked out.
Because green was her favorite
and it was his favorite as well
even when he was sick while
his skin was green.
He still loved the color green
when the dirt fell down
when he didn’t recover,
the grass that bloomed
was the most angelic jade.
And she still wrote in green ink
because it was the color of the grass,
and his favorite color
and the color of his eyes
on his last final days.
I'm sure you guys totally forgot about my color series, because I haven't updated it in a while, but rest assured I have not! This is (obviously) the color green. I got the inspiration while at work I was looking through the drawer and found a green pen. I wrote with it all day and took it home. I then wrote this poem with it.
this is so beautiful but depressing
That is beautiful
Whoa..... This is me in a way. The colour gren. It is my big brothers favorite colour. And I make many things a deep green because of that..... Because I love him and....... Wow.
This positively reminds me of the colour green. How very green this poem is. It just flows straight off the tongue. Excellent work.
I almost cried. ;a;
From beginning to end, you had me.
this poem is very detailed and i enjoyed reading it.
I really, really like this poem! I love the formatting and just the way you phrased everything.
I loved this! There was great imagery, which created a lot of emotions. I noticed the shift in the poem when you started a paragraph with "he." It caught me off guard for a second! Anyway, it was sad, but so touching. Green is also my favorite color.
Absolutely beautiful and touching to the soul, a delicate mix of hope and darkness. Inspiring, truly.
This is amazing...truly touching
This is incredible. Its amazing how so much is said and inferred in this story... Really love it... Excited to read more of your genius
It's sad but sometimes people forget not everything is rainbows and puppys. It really hits the heart, deep and moving.
Why can't Taylor Swift write like this??? O.o
Amazing, I love this~<3
Breathtakingly mournful. Beautiful job,though.
