PrisonerI go through the motions every day
With a smile on my face

I try to avoid
Those wearisome things

I'm supposed to be happy
Because I have a great life

I want nothing more though
To go in my room and cry till I can't breathe

Somebody help me
Someone save me from myself.

Everything weighs me down
Someone help with this burden

I'm a prisoner
In my own life

I'll tell you the truth
If you would only ask

Even if you don't care
Stay with me

Stay by my side
And don't leave me alone

When I'm alone
Things just get worse

I'm just a prisoner
A prisoner in my own life.

Names'What's your name?'

'Why does it matter?'

'I want to know.'

'My name is of no importance.'

'How come?'

'My name isn't a part of me. It isn't what defines me. My name is nothing more than a label.'

'That's a very interesting way of seeing it.'

'Call me whatever you wish, it means nothing to me.'

'Your name is a part of you though.'

'How?'

'Your name is as much you as the color of your hair or how tall you are.'

'Just something else for society to label me.'

'Not so. Something is only a label is you wish it to be.'

Brave New WorldClose your eyes
To fight the demons in your mind

It's the moment of truth
The moment to live

In this scary
Brave new world

Fight for your rights
And what you believe in

Shake off your fears
It's a moment to fight

Fight the demons inside
Shake off your foes

Fight for everything
In this scary brave new world

Beauty and the BeastLong ago lived a callous prince
who cared for no one but himself.
One day an old woman asked for shelter,
and the prince slammed the door in her face.

Suddenly the woman revealed
that she was really a beautiful witch.
She put a curse on the prince
they he his outside would reflect his inside.

Until you find someone to love
and to be loved in return
you will remain a beast
for the rest of your days.

I was seventeen when my father
set out to find his fortune.

When he returned
He told me of his travels.

He said that he made a grave mistake
and that I would have to go and live with a beast

I complied,
Because it was for my pap

When society fallsAs we watch
This society fall

Let us all remember
What we were fighting for

Freedom from oppression
Safety from suppression

To fight without a cause
Isn't to really fight at all

We may think we rule the world
But really the world rules us all

Keep on DreamingThere are dreams in this world
Dreams of anything and everyone

Dreams are more than we believe
More than we actually dream

Dreams inspire
With a bit of faith
Dreams can become reality

Dream on, keep dreaming
You never know where those dreams may go.

Dreams change the world
Dreams can do anything

Dreams created the world
As everything that ever is, or was,
Began with a dream.

Keep on dreaming~

HistoryThere are moments
that you wish never end

Then there are moments
that couldn't go by fast enough.

Through at the times we have seen
and all the lives we have lived.

Time seems to be
the one thing that never changes.

Time likes to repeat itself
going hour by hour, second by second.

They say, today is history
but tomorrow is a mystery.

History likes to repeat itself,
so maybe tomorrow isn't such a mystery.

The Boy That Brought Hope Her eyes shone with hope in a world full of darkness. The hope the boy gave her with every word he spoke.

She was the girl, who dreamt, dreamt about everything a normal girl was afraid to dream about. She dreamt about seventh heaven, she had always wanted to fly and breathe under water, the power which her dreams gave her. It seemed funny if said aloud but she believed. She believed every cloud had a silver lining. She used to sing, her voice so beautiful that when she sang, all the birds became silent just to listen to her. But then reality hit its toll, the world shattered even her smallest of dreams, broke her into pieces. She could see

PassingListen to the words in the passing reverie,
They sound like notes sung without refrain;
Not to be caged in misleading memory,
They evaporate like puddles after the rain.

Who We AreWho We Are.

We cant deny who we once were
because who we once were
made us who we are today.

We have to accept who we are today

is a product of who we once were.

FairiesThe forest was dark, but not overwhelming. It was the kind of natural dark that one could only achieve through the canopy of trees. The girl followed along the almost invisible trail, trying to find her way without causing too much noise. Without warning she stopped, looking around.

Appearing to have arrived at her destination, she put down her small backpack and sat on a nearby tree stump. It was like she was waiting for something to happen, and when after five minutes nothing changed, she brought her fingers to her lips and whistled out a short tune.

Then she immediately relaxed, as if her job was done.

Ever so slowly she reached out her

Dwindling DaysIn the blink of an eye

You're ten
Wanting to be thirteen

Now you're thirteen
Wanting to be eighteen

Today you're eighteen
Wanting to be twenty-one

The days slip by without your notice

Before you guess your thirty
Maybe married.
Family on the way.

'I still have plenty of time'
You laugh to me

Fifty years have have passed
Children grown up
Life half lived

'But now come the golden years'

Seventy-five years come and gone
'Where did my life go?'
You say.

Days pass by without notice
And still time passes by.

RoxasI awoke in a town
That wasn't my own.

I was given
A name and a number.
That I was never meant to have.

But I was never meant to exist
My life wasn't real.
My friends weren't either.

I went through day by day
Looking for my purpose
I found it with her.

We grew close
And along with a third,
Became a trio.

We found solace
In one another
And peacefulness
That couldn't be found
In our supposed 'home'.

But then
It was all taken from me.

She was gone,
And he left.
I was alone.

So I left.

I left looking
For my missing friends.
I left trying
To find out who I was.

But I didn't leave
So easily.

I watched her die

Hate.I hate myself.

I mean someone has to.

I look in the mirror and all I see,

Is someone ugly.

No matter how hard I try,

And no matter what I say or do,

I mess everything up.

Nothing goes right,

Everything goes wrong.

I can't do anything right.

I want to please everyone,

If I can't be happy then

I should at least make others happy.

I mess everything up.

I can't make anyone happy.

I hate myself.

So do me a favor,

And hate me too.

Because if you hate me,

Then I don't have to hate myself.

Never EnoughIt'll never be enough, huh?
I try everything
But I can't do enough.

It's never enough for you
So why should I try?
You only notice others
Its like
I'm a part of the wallpaper.

But outside of you
I am myself
I am important.

And as I watch the trees
Sway gently in the breeze
I realize that

I should be seen
I am amazing

And that no matter what I do,
It wont be enough.

But it will be enough
For me
And the rest of the world.

The person everybody seesI want to scream
I want to cry
I want to kick and punch
And get rid of these emotions
Inside of me.

But I wont.

Because that ruins my image
Of a normal girl.

Outside is a normal
Happy, hyper girl.
Inside are all the
Emotions that I can't show.

I want to scream
And shout
And hit
And run away
And cry until I cant see

But I wont
Because you all
Wouldn't handle the real me.

The one who's bitchy
The one that's over sensitive
The one that doesn't listen
The one who hates everything

So leave me alone
So I can cry
And scream
And shout
So that I can be
The person
That no one else sees.

People are always going to tell you
Who to be and who you are

It's your job to say
This is me

Draw if you want to draw
Write if you want to write

Eat foods you want to eat
And do what you want to do.

Society has images
That we are all supposed to conform to

Be who you want to be
And not what other people tell you to be.

Just because you like
Something that no one else does

Doesn't mean
That you are any less of a person

Everyone is strange in their own way
And it will always be your job

To be who you want
And to do what you want.

Beautiful piece.

This addresses a lot of issues young people, like me, have with views in society these days with the need to meet the demand to be perfect and to be just like everyone else, and its not getting any easier as time goes by. You've brought these to life in an amazing poem that has been beautifully executed with a positive message to be who you truly are, I'm sure that it adheres to all in some way or another.

The message "Be who you are" is a strong one and you haven't let it falter in the least.
